Governance system coalition formed
DAGUPAN CITY - The city government has created the Philippine Governance System Coalition of Dagupan City through an executive order issued by Mayor Benjamin Lim on July 26.
According to Lim, the order is part of the implementation of the city’s 10-point reform agenda to locate the present status of the city’s accomplishments, as well as unify all its activities towards the city’s vision.
“The city has substantially complied with some of the 10-Point Agenda and continues to pursue the remainder relentlessly,” Lim said.
He added that the city has adopted the Philippine Governance System (PGS) promoted by the Institute of Solidarity in Asia as a monitoring and unifying device.
He stressed the importance of participation of all sectors, government and non-government organizations for the success of the PGS.
Lim stressed that the executive order will serve as a covenant among the members to support the PGS and its subsidiary system composed of: Dagupan City Roadmap, city scoresheet, department scoresheet, NGA scoresheet and NGO scoresheet.
The PGS Coalition of Dagupan City is composed of all the city government departments, divisons, outlets, management boards, task forces, councils and committee, national government agencies and non-government sectors. (CIO/Leziel T. Cayabyab)
